Research Workshops

Hey, guess what!

Your research could be A LOT better! I’m a librarian and I know of what I speak because I speak to you guys pretty regularly. I’ve been hearing through phone calls and emails and at the circulation desk that you need help with finding….

…peer reviewed journals

…reliable websites and databases

…your specific and very complex topic that you cannot find anywhere (even on Google)

…that one green book by that one guy

…the vending machine because I’m hungry!!  (okay I added this one)

But I digress, the library has been offering some pretty amazing workshops and some students, okay a few, have really benefited from them. We’re inviting you all to come in this Tuesday and Wednesday this week and Thursday next week to get some great tips on searching one of the most popular and widely used database vendors out there: EBSCO.

THE DETAILS:

USING EBSCO DATABASES

Feb 1st, 2nd, & 10th  ***That’s 3 Workshops!!***

5:15pm-5:45pm ***Just before your classes or right before you leave (we know, we checked)***

IN THE LIBRARY CONFERENCE ROOM #612

Emilie Utigard, Kim Wobick and I, Michael Ruzicka, will be showing you how EBSCO databases will make your research mind blowingly good!!  Okay I might be getting away with myself here but seriously, you guys need help, you’ve told us you need help, so come and get some help.

Oh yeah and we’ll have food too…so you don’t have to go searching for the vending machine.

P.S. For those who think your research is done and golden, come anyway because you can never learn too much.
